Kink and the City (book)

Price: $ 29.95
Product type: Book

This is the true story of John Smith. A man who discovered that unsuspectingly renting a room from a professional Dominatrix at the tender age of sixteen tends to influence character development. Years of playing in the London spanking and fetish scene followed until one day, unexpectedly, his fun and games came to an end. Now, almost a decade later, he's moving to Manhattan and determined to seek out other like-minded people to share his interests once again. Kink and the City is the hilarious account of what happened next. Without a drug addled past or even an abusive childhood to excuse his predilections he throws himself in where angels fear to tread. From downtown to midtown and out to the Hampton's he pursues his bizarre interests, dealing with recalcitrant housewives and adult schoolgirls, fearsomely skilled dominants, body building Amazonians, rabid fetishists, nervous dominatrices and spanking fanatics. Taking us on a very real voyage of discovery though the subculture of kink in Gotham, the author opens each new door with trepidation and holds it open for the reader to experience every new encounter, each more outrageous than the next...

About the Author

John Smith, it must be said, is less impressive in the flesh than you would probably imagine. A fey countenance combined unattractively with an irrational intolerance are his first lines of defence in his continuing epic struggle with humanity. When not indulging in his kink persuasions he spends his time attempting to earn a living traveling the Globe in search of foreigners unwise enough to pay money for his consulting acumen. He can most often be spotted at airports, gazing fretfully for signs to the business class lounge, whilst making legion efforts to avoid eye contact with anyone at all. Further clues as to his identity are a weary disposition together with a feigned genial diffidence, both of which unexpectedly disguise a direct manner that few airline staff are prepared to tolerate. He is also recognizable by the lack of an endearing smile or a disarming candor. Easily startled, he should be approached only with great caution. The current advice concerning a conversation opener are a) the soothing offer of an immediate upgrade to first class or b) at the very least, fine cuisine. John, to his immense dismay and horror, is nudging his halfcentury and currently lives with an enforced and uneasy tranquility somewhere in Manhattan.
